Mental Health for a New Generation
It isn’t a breaking headline that Millennials have been through it, but that doesn’t mean we have to stay stuck in the doom and gloom. We get to decide how we support ourselves and each other, and the younger generations entering our community. Our role in this shift is to make it easier to meet neighbors, learn about mental health, gather resources, and give the community what it needs to thrive.
For a long time our generation has pinned being a successful adult on achieving goals, sacrificing our own needs, and impressive resumes. We can already see that these metrics have not been fulfilling in the same ways they were for previous generations. If we take care of ourselves first, we have more capacity to impact those around us positively, and community is one of the biggest preventative factors for mental health issues. We can support each other by supporting ourselves.
Hopefully this encourages you to seek out what fulfills you in a meaningful way, and Mental Health For Millennials can be a resource for you on this journey.
